Sod Quest

Today we cut our lawn in half. We got this bright idea to cut the sod. What A job! We only had 3 hours to do it in(the sod cutter was $80 for 3 hours)and Boy! were we beat! Afterwards, we went to donate blood and Dad's heartbeat was too high to donate!(just barely) I teased him and said that I worked him too hard! He just had to take an aspirin too! Guess I did! (my back aches and Dads toe is paining! he stubbed his toe 3 weeks ago and he thinks he broke it!It sure is causing lots of problems! He can hardly walk, sometimes--like now.) Boy! I'm afraid that the easy part is cutting the sod! What are we up against now??? We have to get some people to come and take the sod away for us- but we will if noone wants it. I hate to do it, though.

Wow, half the lawn! Many an August mow had me convinced that that would be a great idea.
Dad should really get that toe looked at if it's been three weeks an no improvement. OUCH!!

too bad I couldn't get that sod from ya! We could use it! What are you going to do with the grassless part? --brett

I think we will just leave it grassless and maybe put rocks on top or cedar chips around the trees to ward offf the bugs. Don't know what we'll do with the sod though--Gary just wants to "chuck" it--sure wish I could get it to you guys. But you might a well buy it there--it'll cost alot to ship since it is so heavy.
